Attraction of the Month:
The Dusty Attic
The Dusty Attic quilt shop offers a full array
of quilting supplies and services. Founded in 2001, the unique shop offers
exclusive quilting fabrics, notions, miscellaneous quilting supplies and
absolutely beautiful quilts, along with long arm quilting services and a
variety of classes for the beginner to the advanced quilter.
From classes on appliqué, paper piecing, traditional quilting and more,
you'll find that most of the Dusty Attic's classes are one- day in length,
making it easy to accommodate visitors to the area. Classes generally last
three to four hours and are working sessions, so you're sure to leave with
a newly started project!
What's more, the Dusty Attic hosts a "Scrap- a-thon" twice a month where
quilters bring a covered dish, their sewing machine and their quilting
pieces and sew from 6:00 PM until midnight on a Friday evening or 11:00 AM
to 5:00 PM on a Monday afternoon. Additionally The Dusty Attic has a Block
of the Month Club and a Thimbleberries Club where quilters create special
projects throughout the year.
If you are interested in learning more about quilting or The Dusty Attic
quilt shop, call Bill or Mary Beth Scarborough at 410-546-1656 or visit
between 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday at 301 S.
