Where Nature Meets Art The Ward Museum of Wildfowl Art, Salisbury University, hosts the 43rd Annual Ward World Championship Wildfowl Carving Competition and Art Festival Friday, April 26 - Sunday, April 28, at the Roland E. Powell Convention Center, in Ocean City, Maryland. View world class bird carvings and sculptures. Bid on world class art at the benefit auction at 3 p.m. Saturday. Shop for works of art or carving supplies at nearly 100 exhibitor booths. Enjoy an abundance of children’s activities at the Kids Corner. Watch live birds of prey demonstrations by Brian Bradley of Skyhunters in Flight. Enjoy a sunset birding excursion on the bay or a guided bird and nature walk. BISM's Big Bash

Blind Industries and Services of Maryland is having their 5th annual BISM’S BIG BASH on Saturday, April 6th, 2013 at the Mardela Springs Fire Hall from 6:00pm to 10:00pm. There will be dinner, live music, a DJ, beverages (beer included), money games (gift wheel, blackjack, dice game) and Chinese and silent auctions. The proceeds from this event support their rehabilitations efforts to help people with who are challenged with sight issues. This is a casual night of true fun, games and Eastern Shore good food. Advanced tickets are only $25 or $30 at the door. They are also encouraging all local businesses to consider tax deductible donations for the auctions. Call them at 410-749-1366 for information.

Casting Call for 2013 Season
February 12th from 3-8 pm
The Shorebirds are holding a mandatory casting call for seasonal job seekers on Tuesday, February 12th. Candidates will have the opportunity to fill out an application (can be done in advance by visiting theshorebirds.com) and learn more about the available positions. The Shorebirds will not be conducting interviews at the casting call. Following the event, the Shorebirds will invite a select number of applicants back to the stadium at a later date for interviews.
