Here's how to celebrate National Road Trip Day in Wicomico

It's National Road Trip Day! Whether you're heading out for a trip this weekend or planning future travel, here is some inspiration for your next Wicomico County getaway.

Plan a family trip with ideas from a Washington Post article. Wicomico County and attractions including the Ward Museum of Wildfowl Art, Salisbury Zoo and Delmarva Shorebirds were all featured in a recent Washington Post article about getting the family together for a trip. There are plenty of places to enjoy with your family. Read the article here.

Travel the newly-named All-American Road. The Chesapeake Country All-American Road goes through Wicomico County. Take the scenic route and learn more about this byway here.

Fill out a Maryland Mad Lib. Maryland's Office of Tourism has created a fun Mad Lib featuring the adventures of Mandy Muskrat and Amy Eagle on the All-American Road: Chesapeake Country Scenic Byway. Get friends or family members to give you the type of words that are asked for (noun, verb, adjective, etc.), then share your silly story afterward. Download the Mad Lib here.

Stop at a site off Route 50. Last year for National Road Trip Day, we put together a blog post about sites less than a mile from Route 50. Explore something you haven't seen before! Read more here.

Safe travels if you're on the road this weekend!
