See Pemberton Park from a new perspective in Photo Walk photos

Our recent Wicomico County Photo Walk was a fun opportunity to bring a small group of photographers together at Pemberton Historical Park in Salisbury.

Once the event itself was over, it was also interesting to see the park from a photographer's perspective. Each photographer who posted photos — attendees were encouraged to use the hashtags #wicomicophotowalk and #funwicomico on social media — captured something completely different. I've been to Pemberton Park many times, and through their photos, I saw things I've never spotted or focused on before.

This first-time event was free, and photographers had to register in advance. As people arrived, they did a health screening, and during the event, there were COVID-19 protocols in place. Earlier attendees walked around the park grounds as others checked in, and then most of us headed onto the trails, with photographers stopping as they saw good photo opportunities.

It had rained the previous day, but the day of the event, Oct. 17, brought beautiful weather. It was nice to meet people who traveled from New Castle and Ocean View, Delaware, as well as Wicomico County locals.

Two photographers posted multiple photos from this event on Facebook.

We plan to offer another photo walk event at a different Wicomico County location in the future, likely in the spring. Stay tuned!
