Summer is heating up in Maryland’s Wicomico County, and so is the calendar. From dazzling fireworks and community fairs to parades, galas and celebrations of culture, these standout events offer something for everyone.

Poplar Hill Mansion Groovy Glam Gala | June 14
Poplar Hill Mansion is celebrating 50 years as a museum! The Friends of Poplar Hill Mansion will host the Groovy Glam Gala on June 14 to honor five decades of local history and preservation. For more information, visit poplarhillmansion.org.

Hebron Volunteer Fire Department Carnival | June 18 – July 12 (Wednesdays through Saturdays)
A beloved local tradition since 1926, the Hebron Fireman’s Carnival returns with classic rides, games and signature eats — including famous oyster sandwiches. Eastern Shore Juneteenth Parade and Festival | June 21
Downtown Salisbury will come alive with music, pride and purpose June 21 for the Eastern Shore Juneteenth Parade and Festival. Salisbury Pride Parade and Festival | June 28
Celebrate unity at the Salisbury Pride Parade and Festival on June 28. The festival runs from 2 to 6:30 p.m., with the parade stepping off at 3 p.m. in downtown Salisbury. Red, White & BOOM | July 4
Celebrate Independence Day with one of Delmarva’s most spectacular fireworks displays at the 12th annual Red, White & BOOM. Held at James M. Bennett High School, the event features live music, food vendors and a festive community atmosphere.

Wicomico County Fair | Aug. 15–17
Wrap up summer at the Wicomico County Fair, a free-admission event celebrating the region’s agricultural heritage. Held at WinterPlace Park, the fair includes indoor and livestock exhibits, contests, live entertainment and more.
