It's spooky season and Maryland's Wicomico County is ready to celebrate. Throw on your costume, grab some friends and creep out to these Halloween events.

Halloween Happening at the Salisbury Zoo • Oct. 21 & 28
Dress up in your favorite Halloween costume for a candy trail, family costume contest, games and fun at the Zoo’s biggest event of the year.

Whitehaven's Halloween Event • Oct. 21
Learn some haunting local history from Whitehaven homeowners and a visit to Bolton’s grounds, the haunted remains of a colonial plantation. Bring a flashlight and wear walking shoes. This event is family-oriented and free.

Halloween Cookie Class at Bordeleau Winery • Oct. 26
Learn the basics of royal icing cookie decorating on a Halloween-themed set of sugar cookies.

Poplar Hill Mansion Halloween Party • Oct. 27
This adults-only event features Delmarva Spirit Hunters conducting a paranormal investigation and storytelling from paranormal expert Andy Nunez, author of the “Ghosts of the Eastern Shore” series.

Jack O’ Lantern Jubilee at Poplar Hill Mansion • Oct. 28
Kids ages 3-10 are invited to enjoy games, pumpkin painting and a kids’ costume parade during this free family event.

Burnish Beer Co. Halloween Party • Oct. 28
Burnish celebrates their second anniversary and Halloween all at once, featuring a costume contest and trick-or-treating for the kiddos and a costume contest for adults.

Hallo-Wine Bash at Bordeleau Winery • Oct. 28
Not-so-spooky bash with live music, specialty drinks and games. Costumes encouraged.

“Edgar Allen Poe: Master of Terror” at Poplar Hill Mansion • Oct. 28
This show features memorized, word-for-word telling of The Tell-Tale Heart, The Raven and The Black Cat, as well as a special presentation of W.W. Jacobs’ story, The Monkey’s Paw. Reservations are suggested.

SBY Jaycee Treat Street in Downtown Salisbury • Oct. 29
Kids 12 & under can trick-or-treat on the Downtown Salisbury Plaza for free.
