Want to enjoy a crab dish while you're visiting Wicomico County? JoJo's Family Restaurant has several of those on the menu, in addition to many other options, in unique dining spaces. 

We sat down with Mark James, the restaurant's operator, and Ty Parsons, the front-of-the-house coordinator, to learn more about JoJo's, which has been open for about two years. Parsons also provided a tour of the restaurant, and says all meals come with bread and dessert. 

What kinds of dishes are you known for? 

The cream of crab soup, which features lump crab meat, and the largest salad bar in Wicomico County are a couple features that James highlights.

What's something you would recommend a visitor try? 

James recommends JoJo's crab cakes, made without filler, and hand-cut Certified Angus Beef steaks. 

What drink would you recommend? 

The Pineapple Blast brings the tropical vibes -- it's served in an actual pineapple. The pineapple can be filled with Piña Colada, Blue Hawaii, Strawberry or Orange Crush. 

Giving back

JoJo's gives back to the community, including an annual event that has benefited the Wheels That Heal Car Club, James says. There are also military mugs for sale for $6, with $3 going back to the Wicomico County chapter of Disabled American Veterans. The names of veterans from Wicomico County who lost their lives serving our country are also displayed inside the restaurant. 

The restaurant space

JoJo's isn't set up like a typical restaurant. There are two regular dining areas, but there are also 10 private suites, the largest of which seats 10-12 people. There's also a club room, which can hold up to 15 and can be used for gatherings such as book clubs. Those areas are free to use, but first-come, first-served. There's also a banquet room that can be rented out.
