Wicomico Eats: Boonies Burgers, Beer & Bait

Vanessa Junkin - August 10, 2022

Take a trip to the boonies of Wicomico County to dine at Boonies Burgers, Beer & Bait. This restaurant, located in Tyaskin, has an indoor dining area as well as a tiki bar and large outdoor area with cornhole boards, a volleyball net and a fire pit.

Boonies released a new menu July 30. When we visited earlier this year, Chef Liz Krauss made the Loaded Nachos and Wisconsin Burger, which remain on the new menu.

What's new?

Boonie Bowls are a new addition to the menu. There are six varieties of these dishes, which each feature white rice and a fish or meat, along with veggies, sauce and other ingredients depending on the bowl.

What are the specials?

Wednesday - $10 burger and pint night

Thursday - Thirsty Thursday from 4-7 p.m. This includes $6 crushes, $3 domestics and $4 wine, and free chips and salsa with any food purchase.

Friday and Saturday - Hungry Hour from 2-5 p.m. The following dishes are $5: tacos, chips and salsa, quesadilla, loaded tots and boneless wings.

Saturday and Sunday - Brunch from 11 a.m.-2 p.m.

Where is Boonies?

It's in the boonies -- literally! The restaurant's tagline is "Not the end of the world... but you sure can see it!!" If you turn onto Nanticoke Road from Route 50, drive 16.1 miles till you get to Boonies. Boonies is close to the Nanticoke River and near Cedar Hill Park, Tyaskin Park and Wetipquin Park.
